About us
The Croatian Aviation Training Center (HZNS) is an organizational unit of the Faculty of Transport Sciences in Zagreb, and our primary activity is the theoretical and practical training of civil pilots. We were founded in the early nineties of the last century and currently enroll 29. a generation of civilian pilots, most of whom, like their colleagues until now, will get jobs in airlines around the world. HZNS is located at Lučko Airport in Zagreb, and in addition to the mentioned flight simulator, we also own DV-20 Katana aircraft, 3 Cessna 172s, and 1 BE76 multi-engine aircraft. 16 people are permanently employed at HZNS, of which 8 are flight instructors and 4 are aircraft mechanics. The primary activity of HZNS is the education of students of the Faculty of Transport Sciences through the integrated ATP(A) training program, after which students acquire the academic title bacc. ing. aeronaut. and a professional pilot’s license with authorization for instrument flight on a multi-engine aircraft and authorization to cooperate in a multi-member crew.

Course announcement
We are pleased to announce that the flight instructor certificate course – FI(A) – will commence in May 2024. The course comprises of two parts:

Pilots educated at HZNS will have developed technical and non-technical skills, developed necessary competences, the ability to make quality decisions, a proactive approach to the call of pilots with the highest safety standards.
